Demonstrate understanding of the use of a range of scientific investigative approaches in a context
This standard asks you to carry out several different types of scientific investigations to explore a topic, describe why each investigation method works for your question, and explain how they all fit together to build a complete understanding. You'll use at least three different investigative approaches—like observing patterns, doing fair tests, classifying things, building models, or exploring and observing—and back up everything you say with actual evidence from your data.
You carry out multiple different investigations, describe what each one does, and back it up with evidence from your data.
You explain why each investigative approach was or wasn't appropriate for your question, using evidence to support your reasons.
You analyse how all your different investigative approaches fit together and contribute to a more complete, integrated understanding of the topic.
