Produce a systematic body of work that integrates conventions and regenerates ideas within design practice
You need to build a complete portfolio of design work that shows you can use design thinking and techniques, while taking ideas and transforming them in new ways. Your work should be systematic—meaning it follows a clear process from brief through to finished pieces—and it should demonstrate that you can regenerate (rework and improve) your ideas across multiple outputs. This might be print design, digital design, or moving image.
You establish a clear brief, generate some original assets, analyse artist models, and iterate your ideas, but your regeneration is limited and your graphic treatments feel inconsistent across the portfolio.
Your brief is purposeful with defined deliverables; you produce original assets with a consistent personal style, integrate artist models into your thinking, and develop ideas systematically through linked iterations that refine outcomes for your specific audience.
Your brief is focused and creatively ambitious; you synthesise research and models to generate conceptually rich ideas; you produce a distinctive visual language with fluent control of typography and image-making; you regenerate imagery to increase complexity rather than reuse; and your outcomes are fully resolved and embedded in real-world contexts.
