Demonstrate quality performance of a physical activity in an applied setting
NZQA suppresses grade rates for low-cohort standards.
This standard asks you to perform a physical activity really well in a real, competitive or game-based setting—not just in practice. Your teacher will watch you play/compete and judge how skillfully and consistently you demonstrate the techniques and tactics of your chosen activity, whether that's rugby, netball, tennis, kayaking, or something else.
You perform your activity with acceptable quality, showing you can use the key skills and techniques effectively in a real game or competition setting.
Your performance is consistently strong; you show solid control, good decision-making, and execute your techniques with flow across a range of situations in competitive play.
Your performance is outstanding and accomplished—you execute a wide range of skills with apparent ease, make smart tactical decisions under pressure, and maintain composure and precision throughout real competition.
