Listening Indonesian · AS 91645
Demonstrate understanding of a variety of extended spoken Indonesian texts
This standard tests your ability to understand a range of longer Indonesian audio texts—things like news clips, interviews, conversations, and short stories. You'll need to listen and show you've grasped both the main information and the different viewpoints presented, and you can respond in English, Te Reo Māori, or Indonesian.
- ·Listen to extended Indonesian texts (interviews, news reports, conversations, stories) and identify the main information and ideas
- ·Extract and explain different perspectives or viewpoints presented across the texts you hear
- ·Show you understand what's implied or suggested in the text, not just what's directly stated
- ·Respond to what you've heard by clarifying, summarising, or rephrasing information in your choice of English, Te Reo Māori, or Indonesian
- ·Use visual representations (maps, diagrams, sketches) or other evidence to demonstrate your understanding of the spoken content
You identify the main information and some different perspectives from the spoken texts, and can communicate what you've understood in your chosen language.
You select relevant information and perspectives accurately from the texts and communicate them without ambiguity—your answer is clear and well-organised.
