Conduct an inquiry to propose a digital technologies outcome
Conduct an inquiry to propose a digital technologies outcome
In this standard, students pick a real-world problem or opportunity connected to digital technology, research it thoroughly, and then write up a detailed proposal for a digital solution. You don't actually build the solution — the whole point is the research and planning process that leads to a well-argued proposal. It's worth 6 credits and is assessed by your teacher throughout the year.
You have a clear inquiry question, have done research, organised and analysed the information, proposed a digital outcome, and summarised your findings in relation to your question. You've also met the agreed milestones.
On top of Achieved, you also analyse the implications and different perspectives that affect your proposed outcome (e.g. ethical, social, cultural, or practical angles), and you discuss how your research findings actually impact your inquiry question and proposal — not just describe them.
On top of Merit, you draw insightful conclusions that go deeper — connecting your findings, perspectives, and proposal in a way that shows genuine understanding and original thinking, not just a summary of what you found.
