Describe consequences of cultural change(s)
This standard asks you to describe what happens when a culture changes—the actual consequences or effects of that change on communities and society. You need to explain the cultural shift itself, what resulted from it, and show different points of view about whether those results were good, bad, or mixed. It's about understanding real-world impacts when the way people behave or think shifts over time.
You describe a cultural change and explain what happened as a result, including at least two different points of view about those consequences.
You go deeper by explaining how the consequences affected specific communities differently, and you show contrasting views held by different groups about what those consequences actually meant.
You explain not only the immediate consequences but also identify shifts in attitudes or practices that occurred because of those consequences, and you explain why those deeper shifts matter for the wider society.
