Interact clearly using spoken Japanese to explore and justify varied ideas and perspectives in different situations
This standard asks you to hold a real conversation in Japanese where you actively participate, share your own viewpoint, and respond to other people's ideas. You need to speak fluently and spontaneously (not reading from a script), exploring different perspectives and explaining why you think what you think — all while using language that fits the situation, whether it's casual chat or more formal discussion.
You participate in discussion with reasonable fluency, explore and justify ideas clearly enough, and use language features that generally work for the purpose — though pronunciation, speed, or expression sometimes gets in the way.
You interact in a convincing way, selecting from a good range of language and strategies that fit the audience and purpose, and the minor slips in pronunciation or delivery don't significantly interrupt the flow of conversation.
You interact effectively and skilfully, consistently choosing the right language and strategies for each situation, and any imperfections in pronunciation or delivery do not hinder the conversation at all.
